Spill Response

Course Aim

The aim of this course is to be able to respond safely and effectively to spillage situations. It will also enable an understanding of each team members duties, practical knowledge of the limitations of spill response materials and equipment

Course Content

• Identification of the location and content of spill response kits
• Practical response to a spillage scenario
• Delegation of duties throughout the team
• Practical dynamic risk assessment
• Selection and wearing of suitable PPE
• Use of spill response materials and equipment
• Controlling and limiting spill damage
• Making hazardous materials safe
• Post spill response clean up
• De-brief

The sessions are completed by applying the above in workplace scenarios to help explain application within the attendees working environment.
