The Mental Health First Aid training course teaches people to spot the symptoms of mental health issues, offer initial help and guide a person towards support.

To provide an understanding of the moral, legal and business case for proactive safety, health and risk management, and of strategic safety and health management and its integration into holistic business management systems and procedures

The course aim is for delegates to refresh their knowledge on the key parts of the full Managing safely course. Emphasis is on monitoring, auditing and reviewing, which is learned through two practical case studies.

It will enable managers and supervisors to recognise how they can influence, control and monitor risk to improve safety and health issues in the workplace. This course is intended to provide the necessary training to enable delegates to become the designated “First-Aider at Work”. The delegates will gain knowledge and understanding, and more importantly the confidence and skills to be able to carry out first aid in the workplace.

This course is suitable for people who need to have an awareness of fire procedures but will not be involved in their planning or arrangement. They will understand what to do in the event of a fire and be able to use basic portable fire fighting equipment. The Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order often referred to as ‘The Order’ and other regulations require employers to take certain actions. These include a risk assessment, appointment of competent persons and fire safety arrangements.

The IOSH Working Safely® is a one-day course for people at any level, in any sector, that need a grounding in health and safety. Ideal for introducing staff to why health and safety is important, Working Safely shows how everyone can make a difference to their own wellbeing and that of others through everyday behaviours.

This IOSH approved training course will provide delegates with the knowledge to enable them to manage staff, contractors and sub-contractors who are required to carry out work at height. They will be able to review method statements and risk assessments and control work at height activities.

The course is suitable for people who have or are going to be appointed as a Fire Marshal/Warden It would also be suitable for those who act in a supervisory or management role and need to be aware of their responsibilities in relation to fire safety arrangements. These include a risk assessment, appointment of competent persons, fire safety arrangements and identifying individuals to act as Fire Marshals/Fire Wardens

This course is intended to provide a very basic first aid qualification for any person who may have to deal with an emergency situation. It should enable them to be able to assess and control a situation until more qualified help arrives. The subject matter covered will allow delegates to fulfil the three prime aims of first aid: to preserve life, to prevent the condition worsening and to promote the casualties recovery.

To provide delegates with the knowledge and practical experience to provide emergency first aid in the workplace.

This course is designed to provide delegates with the skills and knowledge needed to select and mount abrasive wheels safely and in accordance with the correct regulations.
